Let's get started!

Inside of these few pages you will be able to get the most from your stream account with the simplicity of just following the instructions.  Sure, we all have our own individual way of doing things, but appease us on this one please as we have tried to make streaming your church or venue as easy as possible.

CHECK LIST

• Computer - A laptop, desktop, the choice is yours.  A bare minimum of 4 gig of ram is needed to push the stream.  6 gig is the most desirable, but 4 will do it.
• Internet Connection - it is best to have a wired internet connection for sending up your stream as wireless is good, but sometimes unstable.  So our recommendation is a wired connection.
• Camera / Tripod - this can be anything from a simple web cam that you get at your local WalMart, or a high end camera.  When we first got started ourselves in pushing a stream to the internet, we used a simple home video camera.  There is an additional piece of software that you can use to make your home camera compatible and able to send the stream to the service.  The choice is yours.  Note that if you are using multiple cameras, you will need either a switcher or software that will do the switch for you.  Multiple USB ports will be needed for multiple cameras.
• Sound - Some people have run the stream with sound directly from the camera, but be warned, every voice, every conversation around you will be picked up and heard by the viewing audience.  It is best if you have a direct line from the sound board to your stream input.
• Software -  Simple.  It's a Free Download!  You can use the enhanced broadcasting tool call vMix, or you can use the Flash Media Player.  We think you will like vMix once you see what it can do!  Go ahead and download it now to the stream computer.

How To Set Up Your Stream

 LIVE BROADCAST INSTRUCTIONS

 encode settings (VMIX):

 VMIX (settings below assume you have upload bandwidth over 1.2mbps.  If you have less upload speed, the video bit rate will need to be reduced so that it is 50% or less of the measured upload bandwidth.  Upload bandwidth can be measured here: http://testmy.net/upload )

 - Click Gear icon next to Stream (bottom of screen)

 - Click Add, enter "Streamhoster" click OK

 - Destination:

 rtmp://fss24.streamhoster.com/lv_username

 - Stream Key:

 mp4:broadcast1

 - Click Advanced:

 Username: lv_username

 Password: your password

 Then click OK

 - Change Application to "FFMPEG" at the bottom

 - Click Quality gear icon

 - enter 530kbps bit rate, 576x432 size, audio bit rate 64kbps

 - profile: Main

 - level: 3.1

 - Keyframe Frequency: 2 seconds

 - Audio format: AAC

 Click SAVE

 Click SAVE and CLOSE

 Now click the Stream button in VMIX (bottom).
