VMix - Adding Audio in vMix

The most simple way to add audio to your video production and not get all the background noise that would be heard when using camera audio is to run a line from the headphone plug to your capture device.  Plug the RCA end of the cable into your capture device according to color.  Now when you go to choose your audio input you will see the same name as your camera capture.  This method is helpful when you are using the free version of vMix and only have four inputs.

If you have Aux Outs on your sound board, and even maybe you using one or two cameras, you can connect these same cables to the sound board with one going to one capture device and the other to the secondary capture device.  The volume is controlled by the sound board, either via the AUX volume, or the headphone volume.  Make sure BOTH CAMERAS showing on vMix have the Audio button turned on.  This will eliminate the loss of audio when switching cameras.
